Consil is an independent firm of chartered surveyors and consultants specialising in rights to light, daylight and sunlight amenity and party wall advice.

PAUL SMITH
DIRECTOR
Paul has been a chartered surveyor since 2002 and was national head of building consultancy at GL Hearn from 2006 until the business was sold in 2015. Paul served on GL Hearn’s Main Board from 2011-2015.
He is a leading neighbourly matters adviser and has specialised in this area since 2000.

IAN SMITH
DIRECTOR
Ian qualified as a chartered surveyor in 2007 and has specialised in neighbourly matters since qualifying. Ian advises both developers and neighbours to development throughout London and the UK, working on a wide range of projects from residential and commercial developments to town centre regeneration and estate renewal projects. Ian worked at GL Hearn from 2007 to 2018, becoming a Director in 2014.

Aaron is a Party Wall Surveyor, specialising in administering Building Owners' responsibilities under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 for prestigious projects like The Shard and 20 Fenchurch Street. His expertise covers the Party Wall Act, Neighbourly Matters, Oversailing Licences, Schedules of Condition, Boundary Plotting, Pre-Development Third Party Obligations, and Monitoring advice (Movement, Noise, Vibration).

CIARAN CONNEELY
DIRECTOR
Ciaran is a specialist in representing building owners engaged in the development of large, complex Central London projects. He has advised on complicated boundary and oversail matters on projects including the In and Out Hotel and Residence redevelopment in Piccadilly, and Ballymore’s Baltimore Wharf.
